Germany

The activity took place in Berlin on 15th of December 2025 at the Ernst-Schering-Schule in Berlin-Wedding and involved students aged 13-16 years old participating in the pilot implementation of the GARDENS Game, a pedagogical tool developed to foster critical reflection on food choices, nutrition, and their broader social and environmental implications.

Italy

The local testing was implemented at the Pertini Biase Institute in Sassari, Italy on 30 January 2026 and involved students aged 13–16 years who participated in the pilot testing of the GARDENS Game.

Cyprus

In Cyprus, the GARDENS educational game was tested through four discrete pilot sessions conducted in three different secondary schools, involving a total of 65 students aged 13–16. The testing sessions included two separate implementations at Gymnasio Livadion (with different age groups), one session at Lyceum Apostolos Loukas Kolossiou, and one session at Lykeio Polemidion.

Serbia

The local testing for Serbia was implemented on 11 December 2025 at Savremena gimnazija in Belgrade. A total of 41 students aged 14–17 participated in the activity during a regular school day.

The session began with a short introduction explaining the purpose of the activity and the basic mechanics of the GARDENS Game. Students then played the game individually, progressing through multiple levels that addressed different aspects of nutrition, food systems, and sustainability.

The gameplay session was facilitated by teaching staff, ensuring that students could ask questions and receive technical support when needed.

Guadeloupe

The local testing was implemented at the Collège Archipel des Saintes in Guadeloupe on the 28th of January 2026 and involved students aged 13–16 years who participated in the pilot testing of the GARDENS Game.
